Positive Minds

Positive Minds offers support and advice to help adults improve their wellbeing and reduce the mental and emotional stress in their life

The main focus of work is on one to one support, but we also run a monthly coffee morning to provide a supported social opportunity for people who are anxious, low in confidence or isolated.

Positive minds can help in a number of different ways:

  • One to one support. The aim is to help you to develop a personal action plan to bring about positive change and wellbeing. If relevant we will help you to find local groups, opportunities or activities that will support your wellbeing and mental health.
  • Coffee mornings. The aim is to provide a drop-in session to help people build confidence in being in social settings. It also gives isolated individuals the chance to meet new people and find out more about what is going on in the local area. There is no cost for these sessions. Please see our ‘what’s on‘ calendar for upcoming coffee mornings or see the PDF leaflet below.
  • Acupuncture for anxiety and depression. The aim is to help maintain your bodies balance. Acupuncture may be agreed as part of the personal action plan, but normally only after initial one to one sessions. There is no charge for these sessions. For more information please see PDF below.
  • Courses / small groups. When we have a number of people interested in working on subjects relating to wellbeing and / or we have funding we may offer courses like confidence building, coping in tough times, improving relationships.
