Volunteer

Volunteer at HHEAG and get a chance to learn new skills, meet new people and even get a little fitter.

There are a range of roles available: from helping in the gardens, kitchen, shop or stalls to becoming a walk leader or committee member.

If you haven’t been a volunteer before, don’t worry. HHEAG and Food For All can give support and training for all volunteers.

Volunteering can help in a number of ways:

  • Help you build confidence and skills, which can help in the future when looking for other jobs.
  • To get support and training – for example a Certificate in Basic Food Hygiene to work in the kitchen or the shop or find training on being a Food for All management committee member.
  • Give a structure and focus in your life, in a supporting organisation.
  • Make you feel great, as you are helping other people and HHEAG to continue its good work.
