Positive Minds

gives support and advice to help adults reduce mental and emotional stress and the impact of the recession in your life.

What does the Positive Minds Service offer?

Positive Minds service will:

  • Give you one to one support to help you reduce the impact of mental and emotional stress in your life and the added impact that the recession may be having.
  • Help you to develop a personal action plan to bring about positive change.
  • Help you find local groups, organisations, services or activities that will support your mental health.
  • Work with local projects, organisations and services to support clients moving easily between services, activities and facilities.

How can I access the Positive Minds service?

  • You can ring and book and appointment yourself.  Just call Helen on 0117 964 4670 or 0788 066 1239.
  • Most sessions are held at the @Symes building, the Withywood Centre or the Gatehouse Centre between 9am and 5pm.  We do have some flexibility about where we meet but cannot do home visits.

How long will I get support from Positive Minds?

Positive Minds offers short term support.  For some people one session might be enough, whilst others may need more support.  We will review progress regularly and decide together how long support is needed up to 12 sessions.
