HOW GREEN IS YOUR OFFICE?
HHEAG aims to operate in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way in all areas of work.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HAVE ANY PRACTICES YOU HAVE IMPLEMENTED IN YOUR OFFICE, LET US KNOW?
Making sure we are on track with our environmental practices and to improve our performance each month we will list what we have implemented
- Office are making up jotter pads from paper waste (recycled paper)
- Office food waste such as banana skins, tea bags, apple cores etc. taken to allotment site for compost.
- Encourange local groups to use environmentally friendly supplies and products and buy goods from Food For All - Food Co-op
- Food For All will offer 10p off soup purchases if you bring your own mug
- Minimise vegetable wastage by making soup to sell in the shop
- Allotment sites are using recycled wood
- Use and sell degradable rubbish/waste bags
- Used and unwanted mobile phones to be donated to support other projects
- Food waste from the cooking room to be collected and taken to the allotment site for composting
- Raw veg from the Food Co-op to be collected and taken to the allotment site for composting.
