Hartcliffe Health and Environment Action Group is an established local community group that has supported a range of projects in the BS13 area of South Bristol.
It is managed by local people for everyone in the BS13 area of South Bristol.

We aim to improve the lives of local people in the BS13 area of South Bristol, by actively engaging residents in both health related and environmental projects.

Our vision is for local people to receive the same opportunity as all other communities to live fulfilled, healthy and happy lives in a cared for environment.

Strategic Aims
- to support local people to improve their health by developing skills in nutrition and cooking
- to increase the affordability and accessibility of healthy wholefoods, including fresh fruit and vegetables for local residents
- to provide opportunities for local people of all ages to grow their own fruit and vegetables
- to reduce the environmental impact of food production by providing locally grown vegetables without the use of chemicals or artificial fertilisers
- To provide a good quality affordable and stimulating play environment for local children that promotes healthy lifestyles and awareness of the natural environment.
- To provide support to local residents in the pursuit of healthy and enviromentally friendly physical activities.
What we do
- 'Plot to Plate' food projects , 'Sow and Grow' community garden and growing group Organic growing courses Allotments, Food growing with schools 'Greens' - a community market garden 'Food For All', Hartcliffe Food co-op Community Cooking Project
